The Angel L.A. has just about come to an end… for now, at least.

As David and I worked toward this moment over the past six months, we knew we wanted to create something tangible: something that honored the work we put in, the people who so generously shared their stories, the readers who found us, and the community we’ve built.

So we hit up our friend, the designer Wylee Musnicki, and got to work on The Angel: Volume One, a magazine of profiles and features that serves as a greatest hits, celebrating the brilliant minds that make up L.A.’s food scene and marking the end of a beautiful era.

The Angel: Volume One will be released on September 19th, 2025. You’ll be able to purchase it online and at select stockists around town (stay tuned). Pre-orders are open now—for pickup at the release party (scroll down!) or shipping nationwide.
