Plugs is The Angel’s recs column. Every week, you’ll get six picks—a restaurant, a bar, a shop, an ingredient, a person, and a treat—from someone in Los Angeles who knows what they’re talking about, plus a selection of Angel-curated links. (Plugs are for paid subscribers of The Angel only. Free subscribers will receive one Plug; upgrade your subscription to receive all six!)

With a background in costume design and theater, she’s built an impressive career as a still life stylist, working with brands like Asics, Dr. Pepper, Nécessaire, Nike, Impossible Foods, Flamingo Estate, Goop, and more, plus publications such as Esquire and The New York Times. She also, as it happens, loves food. And, as to be expected, has great taste. Fun fact: Shelby and I met in line at Cafe Telegrama. Here are her L.A. Plugs!
