Plugs is The Angel’s recs column. Every week, you’ll get six picks—a restaurant, a bar, a shop, an ingredient, a person, and a treat—from someone in Los Angeles who knows what they’re talking about, plus a selection of Angel-curated links. (Plugs are for paid subscribers of The Angel only. Free subscribers will receive one Plug; upgrade your subscription to receive all six!)

#53 is Kerrilynn Pamer, the founder and CEO of CAP Beauty. CAP Beauty is a destination for natural skincare and plant-based pantry items. They produce their own cult-favorite goods, including a toner for sensitive skin, stone-ground raw coconut butter, a soothing cream cleanser, and ceremonial-grade matcha. They also sell a range of like-minded products, from Marie Veronique retinol to Wonder Valley olive oil, and make a mean gluten-free pancake mix in collaboration with Honey Hi. My favorite is their Capnola—it’s truly one of the best granolas I’ve ever had. Kerrilynn herself is an inspiring follow: a New York expat who hikes Griffith Park every day and knows more than a thing or two about leading a healthful, intentional life. Here are her L.A. Plugs!
